A Letter to my Readers

Dearest Readers,

It is with great excitement and a fair measure of trepidation that I share with you some changes are happening in my blogosphere. I am expanding my content on this space! I truly adore writing about food and sharing recipes and this food blogging venture has been most fulfilling for me in this phase of life where I just need something to keep my neurons firing. But I am about so much more than just food. I have a LOT of thoughts and even more feelings and the Lord has been laying it on my heart to open up this space to more. While dappling in food writing here on Kelsie's Kitchen, I have also been keeping up a personal blog where I process the struggles and joys of parenting and marriage and life in general and everything in between. I've committed to honesty and vulnerability and you guys - it's been amazing to see how this realness breaks down walls. I've reached a point where it feels somewhat dishonest to keep these two blogs separate. It hasn't been intentional but sort of by default, the hard stuff goes on the personal blog and the good stuff goes here. Presenting a picture-perfect life is the exact thing I am fighting against so the time has come for the spaces to merge.

If you have been reading this blog to gather new recipes, never fear! Those posts will certainly continue. But you will find me writing about other topics here as well and I hope you will stick around. For those of you who have been following my "personal blog," I will be making it private and will pop in monthly-ish to continue document the nitty gritty details about what each of my kids are doing since I'm finally admitting it outloud: my blog is the closest thing they will ever have to a baby book! If you are interested in the intricacies of when they cut new teeth and have their first BM in the big kid potty and of course some of the hilarious things they say and do, please contact me and I will grant you access. :) I mostly just want to keep creepy internet stalkers from knowing too much about my children.

Here's to many writing adventures ahead! Thanks for reading.
